Larry W. Bridgesmith

JD

Secretary of the College and Registrar

Larry is an adjunct professor of law at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He also serves as adjunct professor of law at the Sandra J. O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in Phoenix. He was the inaugural executive director of the Institute for Conflict Management at Lipscomb University in Nashville. He brings more than 35 years of experience in dispute resolution and innovative workplace strategies to clients, students, and business entities. Professor Bridgesmith integrates practical, legal, and academic best practices into dispute resolution and educational innovation in service to his many professional relationships.

P. Anthony Chapelaine, Jr.

MD, MSPH, FACPM

Deputy Principal

Tony retired in 2014 after decades in epidemiology, public health, academic medicine and teaching, and private practice. In addition to his MD, he holds a MSPH, and is board certified in general preventive medicine and public health. He was elected a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society while in medical school. He has served as a principal investigator or co-principal investigator on grants awarded by the National Institutes of Health, the Veterans Administration, and the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research. From 2015 to 2020, he served as executive director of the Arthritis Trust of America.

Nick S. Pomonis

DO, MD, FAAFP

Dean of Medicine

Nick is a clinical professor of Family Medicine, Sam Houston State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Huntsville, Texas. He is a native Texan and graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Texas at Galveston and Houston and is board -certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. He has over 35 years experience in clinical medicine, working in Bertram, Texas, and Orange, Texas. He currently serves as a district president of the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association.

Quentin M. Srnka

BSPh, PharmD, MBA, FACA

Dean of Pharmacy

Quentin served as professor of clinical pharmacy and pharmacy administration at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center for over 30 years. During his tenurej as a faculty member he owned and operated a community pharmacy and was a partner in a publishing company that catered to pharmacists. In retirement, he was Executive Vice President for the American College of Apothecaries. A prolific author, Dr. Srnka has been a strong advocate for the pharmacist as a self-care consultant. Dr. Srnka says, “The capstone of my career will be assisting qualified BS pharmacists to realize their equality with PharmD graduates.”

Bruce D. White

DO, JD, FAAP

Principal and Vice-Chancellor

Bruce is a pharmacist, attorney, and board-certified pediatrician with fellowship training in clinical medical ethics. He retired from Albany Medical College in 2018 as professor of pediatrics, John A. Balint, MD, Chair of Medical Ethics, and Director of the Alden March Bioethics Institute. Previously, Dr. White was Academic Chair of Pediatrics and Director of the Clinical Ethics Fellowship at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. White has taught pharmacy and medical students, residents, and fellows in several academic medical centers and universities around the United States over a 45-year career.

Michael D. Williams

DO, MD, FACOFP, OMT

Deputy Vice-Chancellor

 

Mike is a graduate of the University of North Texas Health Science Center and board-certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT). Since 2009, Dr. Williams has focused on caring for seniors in assisted living facilities, most recently in solo practice. Dr. Williams is a dedicated servant-leader. He has served on a number of community boards and committees including the Grand Prairie YMCA, Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce, National Audubon Society Cedar Hill Chapter, and the Mid-Way Regional Airport Authority.  Dr. Williams is a B licensed skydiver and a private pilot with instrument rating.
