Philanthropy

We give back to the organizations that we believe are leading the way in doing great things for people and health.

A Focus on Improving the Health and Wellbeing of Our Communities

Local businesses play a vital role in strengthening the communities they serve, and one of the most impactful ways they can do so is through support for local charitable causes. When businesses invest in philanthropy – whether through financial contributions, volunteerism, or advocacy – they help create a more resilient, equitable, and healthy society. Supporting organizations that focus on education and children’s health not only addresses immediate needs but also builds a foundation for long-term community well-being and economic vitality. Local giving fosters a spirit of shared responsibility and demonstrates that business success and social impact go hand in hand.

At Saints Cosmas and Damian Health Sciences College, philanthropy is not just a value – it is a central part of our institutional mission. We are committed to advancing health and education across the US, the Caribbean, and beyond, and we recognize that this commitment must extend beyond the classroom and clinical settings. By supporting charitable organizations that promote learning opportunities and safeguard children’s health, we seek to make a tangible difference in the lives of those most in need. Our approach to philanthropy is intentional and community-focused, ensuring that our contributions help address pressing challenges while inspiring future generations of healthcare professionals to lead with compassion and service.

Each year, the officers and directors of Saints Cosmas and Damian Health Sciences College personally contribute to a variety of charitable organizations that align with our mission. Their support includes donations to respected institutions such as the University of Tennessee and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the United States; Anguilla Community College and the Arijah Children’s Foundation in Anguilla; and the University College of the Cayman Islands and the Cayman Masonic Charity. These contributions reflect a collective dedication to uplifting communities through education, research, and child wellness. Through both individual and institutional giving, our leadership models the values of generosity, integrity, and social responsibility that we strive to instill in every health care professional.
